"You are bl**** crazy but I love it!"
is the general reaction I get when I tell people that I want to run from Cape Reinga to Cook Strait starting this December.
Near 2400km of road, rock and sand around the entire east coast of the North Island won't be easy but it'll be a hell of a good adventure. My name is Alex Asher and I will be trying to run, and occasionally even swim, along the coast (av. 40km a day, 6 days a week for 2 1/2 months). GET IN TOUCH with me on my journey on 027 COAST 05
After spending some time overseas I realised how lucky we are to enjoy a largely unspoiled coast and ocean. That's why I am supporting two fantastic homegrown charities that work hard to keep our coastlines and oceans alive and healthy: NZ Forest and Bird & Sustainable Coastlines.

Our living oceans and coastlines are completely unique: full of life, fish and inspiration. These natural resources need to be conserved for more than just this generation.
My goal is to raise $5 per km I run. Please help me get there by
clicking DONATE.
NZ Forest & Bird advocates for sustainable commercial fishing policies to avoid what could otherwise lead to a collapse. You can personally help by supporting this great charity and using the Best Fish Guide to choose a better future.
